About Me

My name is Rachel Mumford and I am the owner of Mumford Events, an event coordination company dedicated to creating timeless celebrations.

My passion for weddings and events began during my own wedding planning process. I didn’t need a planner because I already secured the venue and vendors myself but as the day got closer I realized how invaluable it would be to have someone manage the day so me or my family members wouldn’t have to. The wedding planning process was so much fun that I didn’t want it to end. When it was over, I decided that I wanted to continue to help others make their vision a reality on their most special days.

As someone who is very organized with a business degree, I decided to take my passion for event coordination to the next level and start my own company. Mumford Events specializes in wedding day management as well as special celebration coordination.

When I am not coordinating your amazing events, I enjoy spending time with my husband, going on walks with my miniature dachshund, and quality time with family and friends.

Based in Northern Virginia, I am dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for people on their most special days because life should be celebrated!
